There were some people who made it in high positions... just look at Red Tails. The armed forces did have black officers. They were often put in out-of-view places though. I'm surprised he was assigned to the apollo moon launch, since it's so high priority. ~ IcyNeko

You can use a time machine to travel back in time and retain 2 copies of yourself in the same timeline. You can also use it to travel back in time a few seconds and replace one version of yourself, retain knowledge of the future, and reverse injuries. And you can also make sure the guy you're holding onto doesn't travel back with you too. ~ agentdc7
